Flan

Where to find it: All Things Chocolate and More | 10471 Ford Ave, Richmond Hill

This enchanting two-part restaurant is the realization of owner Sara Lopez-Smith's vision. It’s not your average chocolate shop, because it offers a hearty food menu in addition to an array of sweet, heavenly treats. But there’s no better place to find a homemade, rich-and-creamy hazelnut flan in Richmond Hill. The elegant custard dessert offers a delightful combination of sweetness, nuttiness, and a delicate melt-in-your-mouth experience.

Pineapple Ice Cream
Where to find it:
The Ice Cream Stop | 13300 Highway 144, Richmond Hill

This beloved Richmond Hill establishment, founded by Bill Pollard and his wife, Gayle, offers 36 flavors of ice cream — plus seasonal specialties such as fall’s pumpkin ice cream. One flavor perfect for the coming summer days is its pineapple soft-serve ice cream, usually swirled with a second flavor, such as raspberry or pomegranate. (The soft-serve flavors change weekly, though, so if your tastebuds are craving pineapple, make sure to call ahead!) There's something at The Ice Cream Stop for everyone — including sundaes, smoothies, banana splits and more. Each creamy spoonful delivers pure happiness.

Sweet Potato Pie

Where to find it: BSweet's Pie & Cake Co | 7399 E Oglethorpe Hwy, Midway

If you crave the comforting warmth of homemade desserts, BSweet's Pie & Cake Co. is your friend. Owner Cassandra Thornton's passion for baking shines through in every creation —  including her signature sweet potato pie. The decadence of its smooth, sweet potato-and-pumpkin-pie filling, swirling with warm spices and baked in a flaky, buttery crust, is unforgettable. A Liberty County native, Thornton also uses quality ingredients to serve up cupcakes and custom-designed cakes for special celebrations.
