I am not a professional chef but I often think I could be. It’s like my other self, constantly thinking about food and ingredients, what I have in my fridge and what I can make with it, what to combine with what and what it will all look like on a plate. This plate? Or that plate? Or perhaps this bowl?..

What I appreciate the most is variety. In colours, textures, flavours, ingredients. I am here to try out, together with you, many new things and also cook some old classics involving vegetables and meat, and fish and seafood, and various cooking techniques and tools. On some days we will make something quick and simple while on some others we might even get a bit tired of the ambition of our project.

My name is Natalija Krutkienė, originally from Lithuania but living in Belgium for over a decade now. By day, I am a translator working with Lithuanian, English, French and Russian. I am married and have two daughters. The fifth member of our family is our golden retriever Harry.
