The best apples to use for this recipe are a firm apple such as Braeburn, Granny Smith, Fuji, Pink Lady, Gala or Honey Crisp. Use these warm on top of pancakes or waffles, spooned over a bowl of ice cream, or to add a hint of sweetness in savory dishes, like chicken or pork. However, there is no better way to celebrate the comforting flavors of fall and warm you up on these chillier nights than with my Caramelized Apple Bread Pudding recipe.
