From the time I opened my first restaurant in Culver City in 2000 (Yes, 15 years before Food Network), my mission as a Chef was to encourage Healthier Eating with anyone open to hearing about it. Just because a food is GOOD for you, that doesn’t mean it has to taste BAD (bland and flavorless). I used most of the prize from winning Grill Master Champion in 2015 on Cutthroat Kitchen “Grill or Be Grilled” (Season 8, Episode 3), to establish the BBQ RESCUES! Foundation. This highly successful platform has reached over a million people to date, and still trends in top searches on Google.

I sincerely hope that BBQ RESCUES! outreach has helped create a least a small wave in the sea of unhealthy eating practices common in parts of today’s BBQ community. With the new nonprofit Entertainment wing of the Foundation called SIZZLE!, I am coming after helping everyone else. Makes no difference what you cook on: Grill, Stove, Oven, Air Fryer, Slow Cooker, etc… I can show you ways to better adapt your cooking to new opportunities for preparing fresher, healthier and tastier meals at home. Unlike joining a trendy Grocery/Food Subscription service, you get to create your own Menus.

I am honored to share the Kittch platform with so many Chefs I have been inspired by over the years (some of whom I have met). As a practical matter, they are not likely to be available anytime soon to give you a Private Cooking Lesson, in your home kitchen.
