MY STORY
Mariana Velasquez is a Colombian and NY based chef, food stylist, tastemaker, cookbook author with more than two decades amongst New York’s most celebrated culinary and creative circles and publications across the globe. Some of her most exciting projects have included her most recent cookbook Colombiana, with Harper Collins, a gastronomy design concept with Morpheous a Zaha Hadid Hotel in Macao, Michelle Obama’s American Grown Book, Williams Sonoma, Point Snout Caviar, The New York Times amongst others.Mariana founded Casa Velasquez, a twofold concept encompassing textiles and stationary for the table and hosting garments for the host; led by CV’s creation envisioned as the Hermès of aprons. Casa Velasquez is a high quality, comfortable line of pinafores, linens and pieces to use when cooking and entertaining at home. All crafted in Colombia to enlarge people’s sense of home and entertaining.
