MY STORY
My name is Ketsuda Chaison, but you can call me Nan! I was born in Thailand and immigrated to the U.S. in 2008; where I completed my master’s degree in education, while simultaneously working in the food/service industry, on top of being a single mother to my now 8 year old, Chanel, whom I love very much.
Fast forward 14 years later, I’ve established so far 2 restaurants in Portland, OR and 1 more coming soon!
Former Co-owner and Co-founder of Kati Portland in 2016 to 2022, a vegan/vegetarian-based Thai restaurant— nominated best Thai restaurant in 2018 & 2019 by Willamette Week
Chef-owner of Mestizo in 2019, a gluten-free Latin-American inspired restaurant and cocktails bar focusing Agave spirit and other spirits from South America.
Co-owner and Co-founder of Norah coming soon winter 2022, a plant based Asian inspired cuisine with local fresh ingredients and the bold flavor of Asian cuisine.
I am very grateful for the love and support from all of my friends, family, and customers— I couldn’t do it without community, so it is my responsibility and honor to support and collaborate with other business owners as often as I can, especially BIPOC businesses and women/femme-owned businesses. I am proud to call Portland home and I’m excited to see what’s to come this year!
