S'mores Bars

There will never be a dessert that’s more perfect for summer than this one. These moist, delicious and chocolately treats have all of the components of the original s’more, take under 30 minutes to bake, and will grant you access to any bbq being held this summer.

Ingredients

2 cups of AP flour

1 1/2 cup of graham cracker crumbs

1 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt

1 cup butter (room temp)

1 1/2 cup brown sugar

2 eggs

1 tsp pure vanilla extract

2 cups of marshmallows

3 Hershey chocolate bars broken into pieces

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 350F.

Line a 9x13 inch pan with parchment paper. Leave enough hanging over the sides to be able to lift the bars out of the pan before slicing.

Cream the butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until the mixture is light and fluffy. Then add the eggs and vanilla extract. Mix until combined.

Add the dry ingredients.

Add about 3/4 of the batter into the prepared pan. Using a glove or extra piece of parchment paper, flatten out the mixture into an even layer on the bottom of the pan. Then cover that layer with marshmallows. Add 2/3 of the pieces of chocolate on top of the marshmallows.

Use a cookie scoop or spoon to scoop the rest of the batter in small increments. Place the batter on top of the marshmallows. Leave space for the marshmallows and chocolate to peek through the batter. Add more chocolate on top of the batter.

Bake for 28-30 minutes.

Remove from the oven and let cool before slicing. OR dive right in, because life is too short.
