Handsome DevilEd and Noelle Randolph

Ed and Noelle Randolph are the owners of Handsome Devil BBQ in Newburgh, NY, founded in 2012. Handsome Devil started out as a competition team and catering service, and has grown into a 5,000 square foot BBQ restaurant, although they still compete year round.

The Randolphs opened the door to their restaurant during the pandemic in November of 2020 as a way to serve the community in a time when most were closing their doors. They participate in numerous charity events throughout the year to serve their community and believe that being an integral part of society is more prosperous than what’s in the bank account. They work together daily to grow their business from a small BBQ company, to a legacy they can leave for their girls.

Ed is the author of Smoked: One Man’s Journey to Find Incredible Recipes, Standout Pitmasters and the Stories Behind Them, a cookbook highlighting recipes from top pitmasters from around the country, and Showstopping BBQ with Your Traeger Grill: Standout Recipes for Your Wood Pellet Cooker from an Award-Winning Pitmaster.

Ed grew up in a farming rich area of Hudson Valley, New York and Noelle grew up in a culturally diverse area in New Jersey. Together their culinary style marries fresh ingredients with bold flavors to create one-of-a-kind dishes. The pair’s accolades include winning the 2017 Food Network’s New York City Wine & Food Festival for best BBQ, placing sixth in the world at the 2019 Memphis in May BBQ competition for whole hog, the immense opportunity to cook at the coveted James Beard House in New York City, among various other accolades over the years.

In 2022, they are set to be featured at the Greater Fort Lauderdale Food & Wine Festival in January, competitors at the Memphis in May World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest, the feature BBQ vendor at the Beer, Bourbon & BBQ events throughout the Northeast and much more.

They believe all of their staff and customers are an extension of their family and love and respect them all. They live at home with their three daughters, Lily, Emma and Amai in Hudson Valley, New York.
