A culinary TV personality, food writer, and five star private chef, she is the longtime Statesboro Herald food columnist, and a food contributor for Discovering Bulloch, Southern Soil and Effingham Living magazines. In 2018, she was a top 10 finalist on Season 14 of “Food Network Star,” and appeared on Season 2 of the ABC cooking competition, “The Taste,” with Anthony Bourdain.
In addition, Lingenfelser’s professional career and day job spans 17 years in the marketing and public relations industry, where she has held executive leadership positions in health care and higher education. A media relations expert and master of marketing and communications, her ultimate dream is to host her own cooking show.
Featured in Forbes and on The VeryVera Show, Lingenfelser was named one of the South's Most Creative Tastemakers in Paprika Southern magazine and regularly appears on WTOC's Morning Break as a culinary authority. She was also recognized as a leading woman in Pink magazine.
Lingenfelser earned her Bachelor of Science degree in public relations from Georgia Southern University. She also attended Savannah Technical College’s Culinary Institute of Savannah. An advocate for supporting local foodways, she values cooking with in-season, Georgia-grown ingredients and is a firm believer that food tastes best at its peak. On her Southern, coastal food blog, SomeKindaGood.com, Lingenfelser shares cooking and entertaining tips, and easy-to-execute, flavorful recipes to encourage others to gather around the family table and share in the joy of cooking and eating together.
A member of Georgia Grown, the Women's Food Alliance, and Community Bible Church, she resides in Savannah with her husband Kurt, and gregarious, 10-pound Shih Tzu, Ewok.
