Texas Style Brisket

It still blows my mind that something so simple as meat and fire turn into something so delicious.

A good brisket only takes 4 ingredients, the brisket (obviously), salt, pepper, and smoke. It all comes down to technique, and a little bit of patience.

True BBQ is something that is difficult to master, and it takes years and years to really perfect your craft. By no means am I a pitmaster, but that doesn’t mean making great BBQ at home.

The rub I use here is super simple, so that the beef and smoke really shine, but you can experiment with different spices in your rub! Get creative!

A brisket takes about 12 hours, and I break down that time in each step below, but the timing can vary based on the size of your brisket, the temperature you cook at and a number of different factors. This is a guide to serve as a base for you to kick off your BBQ journey.
