Okonomiyaki - Osaka Style (Japanese Cabbage Pancake)

This classic Japanese street food is everything you crave!

Okonomiyaki comes in two styles, Osaka and Hiroshima, based on the two Japanese cities they originate from. This recipe is for Osaka style. It’s less complicated but it packs some serious flavour!

This cabbage pancake is packed with shrimp, bacon/pork belly, and covered in an umami packed sauce, kewpie mayo, and delicious garnishes.

What’s great about this dish is that its completely customizable, so you can add whatever fillings you want to the batter and top it with as much or as little of the sauce and mayo as you like.
