Coconut Margaritas
These coconut margaritas are sweet, creamy, and refreshing!
For a toasty variation, toast the sweetened coconut before rimming the glass!
This recipe is for 1 margarita, but easily adaptable to be a batch cocktail. Increase measurements by the amount of servings and blend in a blender before pouring over ice.
Ingredients
2oz Tequila Blanco
1oz Cointreau or Triple sec
2oz Cream of coconut
Juice of 1 lime
⅛ c sweetened shredded coconut
Lime wedges or dried lime wheels.
Preparation
1. On a plate add .5oz of cream of coconut. Dip the serving glass in cream of coconut to rim the glass. Dip rimmed glass in shredded coconut. Set aside
2. In a cocktail shaker, add tequila, Cointreau, cream of coconut, and lime juice.
3. Cover and shake for 30 seconds.
4. Fill rimmed serving glass with ice. Pour coconut margarita over ice and serve with lime wedges.
