THE Easiest Apple Tart

THE Easiest Apple Tart

This apple tart comes together in no time for a deliciously easy dessert or breakfast. 😉

Ingredients

1 cans Apple pie filling, like Duncan Hines 'Simply Apple'

1 packet Puff pastry, thawed

1 large Egg, scrambled with 1 TBS water

1 tbsps Turbinado sugar

3 tbsps Butter, melted

1/4 cups Flour, + 1 TBS

3 tbsps Rolled oats

1/4 tsps Cinnamon

1/8 tsps Baking Powder

Preparation

1. Prepare the crumb topping by adding the ingredients to a small bowl and mixing until combined. Set aside.

2. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees and prep a baking sheet with parchment paper.

3. Using a rolling pin, roll the puff pastry slightly to make a uniform square. Score a border around the puff pastry to make a square.

4. Brush the outside border with eggwash and sprinkle with turbinado sugar.

5. Add the can of apples into the center of the tart, spreading around to the edge of the border you just made.

6. Cover the apples with the crumb topping. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes until crispy and golden brown.

7. Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly before slicing. Serve as is or with a scoop of ice cream!
