Tofu Sandwich
Simple tofu sandwich that brings the flavor and takes minimal time to make . Perfect for your next lunch or dinner.
Ingredients
Avocado or Canola Oil
1 Box Extra Firm Tofu
1 Bunch Basil or Cilantro
1 Purple Onion
2 Jalapeños
2 Carrots
2 Tomatoes
1 cup Cornstarch
Sea Salt
Granulated Garlic
Coarse Black Pepper
Torta Bread or Avocado or Canola Oil
1 Box Extra Firm Tofu
1 Bunch Basil or Cilantro

1 cup Cornstarch
Sea Salt

Torta Bread or Bolillos Bread
Preparation
Start by cleaning all your produce and then laying it to the side . Drain the water out of your extra firm tofu and remove the excess water around it by oat drying it with a kitchen towel or paper towel .
In a bowl combine your cornstarch, granulated garlic, sea salt , pepper and whisk until combined.
To a skillet or cast iron add your avocado or canola oil place on a medium setting . Meanwhile, cut your tofu on a cutting board into long slices. Dip the tofu in the cornstarch mixture you created on all sides. Drop the tofu in the oil and let it cook until golden brown and crispy on both sides . Once cooked remove some of the excess oil by letting it rest on paper towels .
Cut up your veggies to go inside your sandwich. Toast your torta bread using vegan mayo. Combine tofu and veggies and herbs and enjoy !
