An Amazing Cranberry Sauce
2010, I was on Food Network’s CHOPPED show and won! YES!
This was the cranberry sauce I made to go with my English Muffin French Toast.
One of the judges said it was multi-dimensional! I agree and I know you will after you try it. So join me. Let’s have some fun!
Here is this Magical Recipe.
Ingredients
1 pounds cranberries, washed n dried
1 1⁄2 cups sugar
6 tbsps h2o
1 stick cinnamon
1/2 tsps allspice
1/4 tsps nutmeg
1 tsps star anise
1 tsps vanilla
1 small orange, zested n juiced
Preparation
1. In a medium pot, combine the cranberries, sugar, and water. Stir to combine. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat. Reduce to a simmer and add the remaining ingredients.
2. Stir to combine and simmer for an additional 6-8 minutes. Some of the cranberries will burst and some will remain whole.
3. Add the orange juice and zest, and stir. Continue to simmer for 5 mins then allow to cool before enjoying.
