An Amazing Cranberry Sauce

2010, I was on Food Network’s CHOPPED show and won! YES!

This was the cranberry sauce I made to go with my English Muffin French Toast.

One of the judges said it was multi-dimensional! I agree and I know you will after you try it. So join me. Let’s have some fun!

Here is this Magical Recipe.

Ingredients

1 pounds cranberries, washed n dried

1 12 cups sugar

6 tbsps h2o

1 stick cinnamon

1/2 tsps allspice

1/4 tsps nutmeg

1 tsps star anise

1 tsps vanilla

1 small orange, zested n juiced

Preparation

1. In a medium pot, combine the cranberries, sugar, and water. Stir to combine. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat. Reduce to a simmer and add the remaining ingredients.

2. Stir to combine and simmer for an additional 6-8 minutes. Some of the cranberries will burst and some will remain whole.

3. Add the orange juice and zest, and stir. Continue to simmer for 5 mins then allow to cool before enjoying.

1-2 cups granulated sugar

1/3 cup water

1 cinnamon stick

1/2 teaspoon ground allspice

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

2 whole star anise

1 tsp vanilla

1 orange, zested and juiced

Directions

1. In a medium pot, combine the cranberries, sugar, and water. Stir to combine. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat. Reduce to a simmer and add the remaining ingredients.
