Football Party Dip

If chili were a hot dip, this is it! It’s got great BBQ flavor and is perfect for game day.

Ingredients

1 pound mild or spicy breakfast sausage, any casings removed

½ medium white or yellow onion, diced

1 can original or spicy Rotel diced tomatoes, drained

1 can Bush’s barbecue baked beans

1 cup Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce

2 teaspoons garlic powder

Calabama Hot Sauce

Salt

Pepper

1 medium bag tortilla chips (like Tostitos Scoops), for serving

Preparation

1. Place a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sausage and cook, breaking up the meat, until browned and cooked through. Drain, if needed, leaving the sausage in the pan.

2. Add the diced onions to the pan. Cook, stirring, until softened, about 6 minutes.

3. Add the drained tomatoes to the pan, then the baked beans, then the BBQ sauce. Mix well to combine. Stir in the garlic powder, then add a drizzle of the hot sauce and salt and pepper to taste. Reduce the heat to low and cook until everything is combined, about 10 minutes.

4. Serve hot with tortilla chips for dipping!
