B&B Episode 45 Classic Bloody Mary

One of the New Orleans area go-to hangover cures, this Bloody Mary will make you forget last night.

Ingredients

1 qt. tomato juice

3 Tbsp prepared horseradish

3 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce

3 Tbsp dill pickle juice

3 Tbsp fresh lemon juice

1 Tbsp hot sauce

2 tsp kosher salt

1 tsp celery salt

1 tsp black pepper

2 C. vodka

Celery, green olives, fresh flat-leaf parsley and lemon wedges

Preparation

Stir together tomato juice, horseradish, Worcestershire, pickle juice, lemon juice, hot sauce, kosher salt, celery salt and black pepper in a large pitcher. Stir to combine; cover and chill at least 2 hours or up to 24 hours.

Just before serving, add the vodka. Stir. Pour into tall glasses with ice.

Garnish with celery, olives, parsley, lemon wedges and more.

B&B Episode 45 Commander's Palace Brandy Milk Punch

This classic drink from one of our favorite brunch spots is the perfect parade morning pick-me-up

Ingredients

1 1/2 C. milk

1/2 C. heavy cream

12 oz. Brandy or Bourbon

1 egg white

1/2 C. sugar

1/2 C. very cold water

1 Tbsp vanilla extract

Nutmeg, to taste

Preparation

Combine the milk, cream, brandy, egg white, sugar, water and vanilla in a large pitcher.

Stir well or if you have a lid, shake.

Serve in rocks glasses and sprinkle each cocktail with some nutmeg.
